Steinau an der Straße is an interesting and pretty town at any time of the year.

Museum Steinau (Steinau Museum)
The trade route between Frankfurt and Leipzig was the main west-east axis of the empire for centuries. It also gave the town of Steinau its byname 'On-the-Road' (an der Straße). The Steinau Museum illustrates Steinau as a typical station on the trade route.
Schwimmbad Steinau (Steinau swimming-pool complex)
The Steinau swimming-pool is a modern, heated open-air pool. The fifty metre pool and diving pool with 1m, 3m and 5m diving boards make your swimming a pleasurable experience. A large non-swimmer pool with slides and a toddlers' paddling pool will also keep your children entertained. Relax on the lawns in the shade of the large trees and let the world go by.
